Region
Choose a geographic area to display. The “metropolitan statistical area” consists of a high-density urban center and its suburbs, as defined by the federal government. The “economic region” consists of counties with high exchange of travel. The “urban core” consists of dense areas with diverse demographics or frequent transit service. “Equity neighborhoods” are underserved by transit and should be prioritized for quality service.
Show Only Affordable Trips
Show only transit options with one-way fares of $4 or less, including transfers (in LA, Chicago, Philadelphia), or $5 or less, including transfers (in Bay Area, DC, Boston, or NYC).
Note: Data issues may be influencing the low-cost fare access measures. Until we can resolve this issue, we caution against using the low-cost fare access metrics. Please contact [email protected] with questions.
Show How Transit Compares to Driving
For access measures, a ratio of 1.0 means someone can reach an equal number of destinations by transit or car in a given time; 0.1 means reaching one-tenth the number of destinations by transit as by car. For travel time measures, a ratio of 1.0 means that trips are equally long by transit or car; 2.0 means that trips by transit take twice as long as by car.
Demographics
Displays where people of different demographic groups live.
